This Policy also applies to personal information collected when organizers use monetization features, when attendees submit registration or ticket purchase information through checkout flows made available on the Site, when users interact with tracking links, referral codes, or attribution tools, and when users communicate with us by email or other support channels.

3. How We Collect Personal Information

    We collect personal information:
  • directly from you, such as when you create an account, submit or manage an event, purchase a paid plan, contact support, subscribe to newsletters, or complete forms on the Site;

  • from payment and checkout providers, such as transaction status, payment identifiers, and limited payment-related details;
  • from third-party integrations and identity providers, such as OAuth or social login providers, if you choose to connect them;
  • from organizers, partners, or other users where they provide your information in connection with an event, speaker profile, partner profile, ticket purchase, invitation, or attendee communication.

4. What data we collect

    We may collect and process:
  • Account and profile data: name, email address, password hash, company or organization name, job title, account identifiers, and any profile information you choose to provide.

We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes on our servers. We and our payment/checkout providers may collect information entered into checkout forms, including when a transaction is initiated but not completed, for fraud prevention, transaction support, analytics, service improvement, and, where permitted and consented to, communications relating to the transaction.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, approximate geolocation derived from IP, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, session data, access times, referral URLs, log data, and information about how you use the Site.

  • Sensitive data: We do not intentionally request or require sensitive personal information unless necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment or identity verification, or another permitted business purpose. Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless specifically requested.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)

    If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following legal bases, as applicable:
  • Consent — for marketing mailings, non-essential cookies and other operations where explicit consent is required.
  • Performance of a contract — for creating and maintaining accounts, providing services, processing orders and payments.
  • Legitimate interests — ensuring platform security, fighting fraud, analytics and product improvement (we account for balancing our interests and the rights of data subjects).
  • Legal obligations — fulfilling legal requirements, tax and accounting obligations, responding to lawful requests from public authorities.

6. Purposes of processing

    We use personal information to:

  • publish, moderate, review, verify, and manage event listings and related content;
  • provide paid promotional services, visibility features, featured placements, social promotion, newsletters, and related organizer tools;
  • facilitate checkout, process transactions, support organizer monetization features, manage payment, refund, dispute, and chargeback workflows, prevent fraud, improve transaction flows, and, where permitted and consented to, send communications relating to initiated or completed transactions;
  • provide referral, promo code, and attribution features;
  • communicate with users, provide customer support, and respond to inquiries;
  • personalize content, recommendations, and user experience;
  • send service-related messages and, where permitted, marketing communications;

  • detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, illegal activity, and violations of our Terms;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and enforcement obligations;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7. Disclosure to third parties

    We may disclose personal information to:
  • hosting, cloud, and infrastructure providers;
  • payment processors, billing providers, and financial service providers;
  • fraud prevention, identity verification, risk, and security service providers;
  • analytics, attribution, and advertising-related service providers;

  • parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.

We transmit only the data necessary for the performance of the relevant service, and we impose data protection requirements on processors (data processing agreements, confidentiality obligations).

8. Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless and until such functionality is specifically enabled and disclosed in an updated Privacy Policy or cookie consent interface.

If we use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising measurement, retargeting, or similar purposes in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and choice mechanisms.

9. International transfers

Since the controller is registered in the United States (Delaware), your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with a different level of data protection. When transferring personal data from the EEA, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with transfer restrictions, we use appropriate safeguards, depending on the nature of the transfer and the location of the individual, including where applicable Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

If necessary, we will provide additional information about the applied safeguards upon request.

10. Privacy Rights for Individuals in the EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions

    If you are the natural person to whom the data relates, you have the right to:
  • obtain access to your data;
  • require correction of inaccuracies;
  • request deletion (“right to be forgotten”) subject to legal conditions;
  • restrict processing;
  • request data portability;
  • object to processing (including profiling);
  • withdraw consent to processing (if processing is based on consent).

How to submit a request: send a message to [email protected] with the subject “Request regarding personal data” (or “Data Subject Request”). In the request, state: your name, the email associated with the account, a description of what you request (for example “a copy of all my data”, “delete account”, etc.).

Verification procedure: to prevent unauthorized access, we may request identity verification (for example, a copy of a document proportionate to the risk), or additional data to confirm the right to the account. We apply the minimally necessary level of verification.

Response times: we aim to respond within 30 calendar days from receipt of a valid request. In complex cases the time may be extended (but we will notify you about the extension and reasons).

If you are not satisfied with the response, you may file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in your country (for EU residents — the respective national data protection authority).

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights

    Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may have rights to:
  • confirm whether we process your personal information;
  • access personal information;
  • correct inaccuracies;

  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or certain profiling, where applicable;
  • appeal a decision relating to a privacy request, where required by applicable law;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response or contacting [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.” We will review and respond in accordance with applicable law.

12. Notice to California Residents

If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the categories of sources from which the information is collected, the business or commercial purposes for collecting, using, or disclosing the information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it, the right to request deletion, the right to request correction, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by applicable law.

California residents may submit requests by contacting [email protected]. We may take steps to verify your request before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of California residents where permitted by law and subject to appropriate verification. Where required by law, we will also honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for applicable browser-based opt-out requests.

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In addition, certain services are intended only for users who are old enough to enter into binding agreements under applicable law, as described in our Terms of Use. If you believe a child has provided us personal information in violation of this Policy, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to investigate and delete the information where required.
