Qwen Build Friday Padova

An hands-on evening to build and test a real project with Qwen3.8 Max. On Friday, October 2nd, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, we will meet at Lab 38 in Padova for a Build Friday dedicated to Qwen. During the evening, we will all work on the same project: we will work on a small open-source project, DictateKit, a cross-platform tool that starts from a fork of openwhispr. The goal is not to create a complete product but to end the evening with a working prototype and to concretely understand how to use Qwen within a software project. Program In the final discussion, we will use the same prompts and use cases on the two models, directly observing differences, strengths, and limitations. How to access Qwen3.8 Max Participants will receive access for one week to Qwen3.8 Max, Qwen's new flagship model. To activate the access, it is necessary: Registration on ModelScope may require verification via phone number. Technical preparation Before the event, it is necessary to install OpenCode, the coding harness that we will use during the evening. It will not be necessary to install software that will not be used during the event. The activity will be designed to work on macOS, Windows, and Linux. If you already have a configured development environment, you can use that. Bring your PC and, if possible, also the charger.
