Harness Engineering: Building AI Agents That Don't Break
Description
What actually happens when your AI agent meets production traffic? Most agent demos work. Then they ship, and the edge cases show up: tools that fail, context that drifts, or a retry loop that quietly burns your budget. Harness engineering is the discipline that closes that gap - the guardrails, tests, and structure that keep an agent behaving once it's out of your hands. For this workshop at Ethereum Hub, we'll welcome Gabriel Novak, co-founder and CRO at Shippit, who's been deep in DeFi and AI + blockchain systems and mentors founders on turning Claude Code from a commodity into a repeatable engineering system. He'll lead the session together with Julia Hoffmann, Head of Product at Rivool Finance, who's spent the last few years at the intersection of product, design, and engineering - co-founding Chainless at Notus Labs, building jubs.studio, and shipping AI-native and Web3 products end to end, from interface to code. Prepping for the EAG Global Buildathon or want to put your skills to the test for a shot at 30 days in China? This workshop doubles as prep for that too - make sure you're registered here. 🛠️ Harness Engineering Workshop This is not a generic AI hype talk or a deck of prompting tricks. It's a hands-on look at the practices that keep an AI agent from breaking once it leaves the demo and meets real production traffic - testing, guardrails, and the engineering habits that turn a clever prototype into a system you can trust. 🗓️ How it works 6:00 PM - We gather at the Hub7:00 PM - Harness Engineering Workshop with Gabriel Novak and Julia HoffmannAfterwards - Networking You're also welcome to spend the day working from Ethereum Hub before the event. Bring your laptop, work from the space, and stay for the conversation. 💚 Who should come? This is for people building or shipping AI agents - engineers, founders, and builders who want their agents to survive contact with production, not just look good in a demo. You don't need to come with all the answers. Just come curious. 🌱 Stay close to the Hub We have a Telegram group for community updates, upcoming events, questions, and people who want to stay closer to what's happening around Ethereum Hub. Spots are limited to 30. RSVP to save your spot 💚
