Taking place from 8:30am on Tuesday 22 September 2026, the event focuses on the purpose, possibilities and challenges of using AI and data in the social housing sector. ## What to expect The conference is designed as a sector-wide learning opportunity rather than a purely technical discussion. Attendees will hear about the AI adoption journeys of housing associations across Wales, share their own experiences and explore how organisations can approach fast-moving technology with clear intent. Key themes include: - How housing associations are currently adopting and using AI - The opportunities AI and data could create for social housing - Risks that organisations need to understand and manage - What an effective AI-augmented housing association looks like - Lessons, ideas and experiences from across the Welsh housing sector The format combines conference content with peer learning and experience sharing. It should be particularly relevant to people working within Welsh housing associations who are helping to shape organisational strategy, data use, digital transformation or approaches to AI. No specific technical experience level is stated; the emphasis is on shared organisational learning and responsible adoption. ## A community-shaped agenda Community Housing Cymru is inviting the sector to help determine what the conference covers. An online focus group will take place on 9 June, from 12pm to 1pm, giving participants the opportunity to suggest priority topics and speakers.
