Write to your representative about AI Safety

AI companies are racing to build more and more capable AI models as fast as they can. Their explicit aim is to build general-purpose agents that can perform any job cheaper, faster and better than any human. And yet they have no serious plan to keep these models safe and under human control. If you're concerned about AI then one of the easiest and most effective things you can do to actually make a difference is to write to your representatives, explain your concerns to them and ask them to support useful AI safety proposals, such as the Kill Switch Act. In this workshop we'll walk through writing and sending an email and talk about further steps you can take to influence AI policy for the better.
