Future of Expertise Making Sense of future skillsets. Reimagining Your Role. AI anxiety is real. AI can already write code, analyse data, generate designs, debug problems and execute tasks. As these capabilities grow, it’s natural to wonder: What happens to my expertise?What will my role look like?What will I need to be good at in the future? Instead of jumping straight to “What AI skills should I learn?”, let’s pause and make sense of what’s actually changing. In this futures-thinking workshop, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping technical work, what this could mean for the roles we have today, and how our expertise might evolve as the boundaries between humans and machines shift. We’ll look at the signals, connect the dots, explore possible futures and figure out what might matter for us next. You won’t get a list of “future-proof skills.” You’ll get space to step back from the noise, think beyond the immediate hype and anxiety, and start figuring out: What should I pay attention to?What could my role become?And what do I want to start doing now?
