But our panelists, who have been in the field for decades, have a better view than most.Join us at the Northeastern University in Silicon Valley campus for an expert panel discussion, lunch, and networking. You’ll hear from our artificial intelligence experts who have been working on the technology through multiple growth cycles. They’ll share what they see as the most exciting opportunities in the field right now, from the vantage point of deep technical expertise and long industry experience. They’ll also speak about the research opportunities that students have been taking part in, both in faculty labs and independently.Plus, get job market updates from our faculty member who leads engineering students through finding, landing, and completing their internships. She’ll share the market trends that have impacted students over the last few years, where she sees things going next, and the strategies that have worked for our students (both those with experience and those who are changing fields).🔷 Our Panelists🔸 Dr. Ilmi Yoon has decades of experience as a technologist with research interests in accessibility and social impact. Her lab's current R&D work includes a project to scale internet access for blind and low-vision audiences by using AI to assist in audio description of short-form video content.🔸 Dr. Sergey Aityan multidisciplinary experience includes physics, mathematics, biology, and engineering. Recently, his lab has produced an AI system that identifies sepsis in emergency intake patients with increased accuracy and speed to improve outcomes.🔸 Dr. Ravi Kalluri has 30 years of leadership and program management experience at major tech corporations including AT&T and Lucent. He is an expert in human-AI project team dynamics, presenting and publishing on the topic at conferences and in journals. 🔸 Dr. Abdolreza Mossadegh has worked as an AI researcher at King's College London and at Cornell University. His current research is focused on the application of AI to antibiotic resistance for public health.🔸 Erica Hatzievgenakis is a specialist in preparing graduate-level engineering students for the job market and has been teaching and advising at our campus from the onset of the current AI era through the present. Her ongoing work is a direct view into the changing landscape for early- and mid-career technologists.🔷 Our Moderator🔸 Dr. Caroline Simard has decades of experience researching diversity in the tech industry and STEM fields.
