He has founded three technology companies, developed one of the world’s earliest personalized marketing systems and internationally leading edge container technology, establishing his leadership position in technological innovation. As the chief architect at IT giant Sun Microsystems, he was one of the pioneers of early cloud computing technology.In the investment field, Dr. Xuanchun Xia focuses on hard tech areas such as cloud computing, chips, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing, while also possessing profound knowledge in creative design and cross-cultural studies. He is one of the founding members of the Tsinghua Entrepreneurs and Executives Club (TEEC), served as the first chairman of the North America branch, and has long been a mentor for Tsinghua University’s Siyuan Program and entrepreneurship incubation projects. He also initiated the TSVC Giving Fund.Academically, Dr. Xuanchun Xia holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, and obtained his PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).Founded in 2010, TSVC (formerly known as TEEC Angel Fund) is the first seed fund established by Chinese from mainland China in Silicon Valley, renowned for investing in unicorn companies such as Zoom, Ginkgo Bioworks, and Carta.
