The Great AI Gamble

The topic for our Fall Kickoff is set. AI. Here's what we might get into. Are we in an AI race with China? Will data centers drive up our electric bills? Should AI be used in weapons of war? Do you want a data center near your home? Are you concerned about how much water data centers use? Should cities give data centers tax breaks? Will AI affect the job market? Should the government regulate AI? Is using AI to write a school paper cheating? Should AI companies pay the artists they trained on? Can you still believe what you see online? The goal isn't to debate or change anyone's mind. It's to understand how somebody who lands somewhere else got there. And if you aren't there to say what you think, there's a good chance nobody will. We'll also take your ideas for topics and events for the rest of the fall and winter.
