The Citizen AI Project

💡 Every community has ways of bringing people together to solve problems, make decisions, resolve disagreements, and build trust. From neighborhood organizations and faith communities to schools, nonprofits, advocacy groups, and workplaces, people have developed processes that help diverse groups collaborate and shape shared outcomes. What can these experiences teach us about building AI for the public good? ➡️ Join us for the second workshop in the Citizen AI Project, a community-based initiative exploring how AI can be designed through meaningful public participation. Whether you attended our first session or are joining us for the first time, you'll be invited to share examples of bottom-up, community-driven processes that you've experienced or admire. Together, we'll explore how these approaches might inform the long-term development of community-centered AI technology. ℹ️ This is not a technical workshop, and no prior experience with AI is required. We are looking for people with experience building communities, facilitating participation, organizing groups, or simply navigating collaborative processes in everyday life. Your experiences—not your technical expertise—are what make this conversation valuable.
