## Tech West England Advocates – AI Hackathon **Dates:** 13–14 August 2026 **Venue:** UWE Bristol, Business School **Format:** In-person, cross-university hackathon Join the **Tech West England Advocates – AI Hackathon**, supported by NCC, and help solve real-world business challenges with artificial intelligence. This two-day event brings together **students, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators** to collaborate on live industry problems. ### What to expect - **Real industry challenges** – Work on problems set by cross-sector partners, including: - *Advanced Manufacturing* – NCC - *Financial Services* – Capsule (supported by Hiscox) - *Healthcare* – Ingeniumai - **Curated multidisciplinary teams** – You’ll be placed in teams of 4–5 students (or recent graduates), mixing skills and perspectives. - **No AI expertise required** – The competition is open to all students or recent graduates, regardless of experience level. This is a learning opportunity as much as a challenge. ### Who should attend - University students (all disciplines) - Recent graduates interested in AI applications across industries - Anyone curious about solving practical business problems with AI ### Organised by Led by **Tech West England Advocates** in collaboration with the **University of the West of England** and the **University of Bristol**.
