strAIght Up! Bangkok Hackathon

Description

Build and demo an original AI product in one day at strAIght Up! Bangkok, a free hackathon for 15–25-year-old technical and non-technical builders. Taking place on **Saturday 29 August 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM**, at NT Tower Bangrak in [Bangkok](https://www.createwith.com/cities/bangkok), this fast-paced event is designed to move you from an early idea to a working live demo. You could build a useful product, automate a workflow or create a practical AI tool that addresses a real problem. The hackathon is powered by [Wavesparks](https://wavesparks.co/?utm_source=luma), sponsored by OpenAI and hosted by ForwardBridge in partnership with Adam’s House, TUSAA and Global Shapers Kuala Lumpur. Participants will gain hands-on experience with OpenAI, Codex, [ElevenLabs](https://www.createwith.com/tool/elevenlabs) and [Replit](https://www.createwith.com/tool/replit). ## How the day works The programme combines structured ideation, practical learning, focused building and live demos: - **9:30 AM:** Check-in and team formation - **10:00 AM:** Opening session and challenge reveal - **10:40 AM:** Guided ideation workshop to frame your idea - **12:00 PM:** Lunch, provided by the organisers - **12:45 PM:** Codex and Replit crash courses - **2:45 PM:** Build sprint with mentors available for support - **4:00 PM:** Project submission deadline - **4:15 PM:** Finalist demonstrations - **5:00 PM:** Winners announced Challenge tracks will be revealed on the morning and will feature real-world briefs in areas such as trust and safety, security and resilience. There is no fixed industry theme: projects will be judged around the goal of creating something useful, technically credible and demonstrable by the end of the day. ## Who should attend? The event welcomes **technical and non-technical participants at any experience level**. You can attend with collaborators, find teammates during check-in or begin the day with your own idea.
