AI models are getting better, but choosing the right model is still not simple. Sometimes a model is smart, but too expensive. Sometimes it is fast, but the answer is not good enough. Sometimes it supports long context, but still fails because the prompt is unclear. Sometimes we use the strongest model for a simple task, even though a cheaper model is already enough. In this UCloud Workshop Jakarta, we will learn how to compare and use AI models in a practical way for developer workflows. This is not only a talk about benchmarks. We will compare models using real developer tasks, then discuss how to decide which model fits each task based on cost, speed, context, prompt quality, and output quality. We will also show how AI can support the software development lifecycle, from brainstorming ideas, writing documentation, planning implementation, generating code, reviewing output, debugging, and improving the next iteration.
