Sovereign Stacks is a private working weekend for early contributors to SpacesOS. SpacesOS is an open-source project for a world where computers increasingly work through models and agents. Its core idea is simple: people and communities should control the environments where those agents run. They should control their data, set the limits on what an agent can do, and avoid relying entirely on a company's systems or rules. This is a small unconference for people helping shape the early project. Engineers, hackers, designers, investors, and others close to the work will spend the weekend in talks, workshops, and small working groups. We want to test the ideas, identify the important questions, and leave with a clearer sense of what SpacesOS should become and who wants to help build it. Today, many agents operate inside systems owned by large corporations. Those providers often control the data, tools, and rules around them. SpacesOS explores a different approach. It treats a computing environment as something a person or group can set up, inspect, move between machines, and keep running on their own terms. They decide what data and tools are available in that environment, and what permissions an agent has. The project brings together open-source systems, private infrastructure, isolated working environments, and local models. It is early work.
