Highlights
Second annual Society-Centered AI Hackathon at Duke University. Open to Duke community members and the broader public. Teams of 2-5 participants will address a prompt provided at the kickoff event. Judging by academic and industry experts; criteria include feasibility, creativity, and analysis. Winning team presents at the Conference on Society-Centered AI to hundreds of attendees. All participants receive event swag; first 100 registrants get T-shirts. Event fosters diverse perspectives and inclusive discussions. Kickoff event on February 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Main working session on February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Judging and awards on February 7, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
