Robocode Leicester: Tech Quest Summer Camp & Weekly Coding Classes

Robocode Leicester delivers structured, qualification-backed tech education for young people aged 6–17 at its dedicated centre on Uppingham Road, Leicester. From August 17–20, 2026, the centre is running its Tech Quest summer camp—a four-day intensive covering robotics, game development, and 3D printing (10am–1pm daily, £70 per student, lunch included). This isn't a drop-in coding club: it's a structured pathway designed to take children from first circuits to GCSE-equivalent qualifications, with weekly two-hour Studio Labs running year-round. ## What Makes Robocode Different Every child works through a self-paced Course pathway with the same Mentor every week, in groups of eight or fewer. Younger students (ages 6–9) begin with hands-on circuits and introductory coding, while older students (ages 10–17) progress through Arduino, C++, Python, and university-level concepts. The centre offers BCS Level 1 & 2 qualifications (GCSE-equivalent) and supports students working toward GCSE Computer Science—some Robocoders have completed this qualification aged 11 or 12. Programmes include Robotics Engineering, Game Development, Cybersecurity, AI & Machine Learning, 3D Printing & CAD, and full GCSE prep, all taught with real equipment and industry-recognised tools. ## Tech Quest Summer Camp (Aug 17–20, 2026) This four-morning intensive is designed for hands-on learners ready to explore multiple disciplines. Students will build and program robots, design and test games, and learn CAD and 3D printing workflows. Classes are separated by gender (boys and girls in separate sessions) and lunch is provided each day.
