Resonance Salon: AI & Relationships

Description

For most of human history, relationships have been the primary way we made sense of ourselves. We learned who we were through being known, through conflict, repair, presence, and time. Now, for the first time, we have tools that can simulate human connection itself: chatbots that remember your inner life, companions designed to fit your exact preferences, therapy tools available at 3am, romantic partners who are always patient, always available, always attuned. Resonance Salons are intimate (max 16 people) invite-only, in-person gatherings designed to slow us down so we can thoughtfully engage with deep questions around this topic: How do we want to relate to AI and how might that reshape the way we relate to each other? What happens to trust, closeness, attention, and belonging? What do we want to hold onto, and what do we want to practice differently? WHAT TO EXPECT: 1. Structured dialogue around the theme (AI & Relationships) We will share a few readings with participants before the salon, which will help guide our conversation. (~30 mins total to read) 2. A shared meal It’s a way to build trust, connect as people, and let the conversation continue in a more relaxed setting. 3. Creative share We close each salon with a creative expression space: music, poetry, or writing, or anything else.
