Practical AI Applications in Human Resources

Participants will gain knowledge of AI use cases in HR, use of AI tools for organizational communication, just-in-time solutioning, accessibility, building hiring toolkits, using chatbots, and more. Participants will also gain knowledge of rising AI tools for the HR field and how they are being applied today. Sheri L. Gordon, MA, SHRM-CP, PHR is a Human Resources professional with 16+ years of experience supporting higher education through strategic HR, Lean process improvement, and HR Technology. Sheri helps institutions modernize HR operations by reducing waste, improving employee experience, and leveraging technology to support better decision-making. Her background includes a broad spectrum of HR partnership but always serving higher education, including Eastern Kentucky University, Berea College, Maryville College, and now Pellissippi State Community College. As a LABP Green Belt, she applies Lean and continuous improvement principles to HR processes such as hiring, classification, and policy development. Sheri also advises on the responsible use of AI in HR to streamline workflows and enhance analysis without sacrificing compliance or removing the “human” in Human Resources.
