AI Safety Can No Longer Be Ignored The cat is out of the bag. AI companies are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. Step 1: awareness ✅Step 2: action Meeting with your MP in-person is the best way to directly impact UK AI policy. In June, 30 PauseAI volunteers went to Parliament and met with seven MPs or assistants. As a result of our meetings, Chris Vince and Siân Berry wrote letters to Kanishka Narayan MP (Minister for Artificial Intelligence), and Anneliese Dodds and Siân Berry signed PauseAI UK's open letter to the Prime Minister. This time there's going to be a lot more of us, and our MPs are going to already know exactly what we're talking about, so expect bigger results. Tell your friends and family The best way to secure a meeting and persuade your MP to take action is to bring your friends and family with you, especially if they live in the same constituency as you.
