Talk 1: - Outsmarting the Data Stack: Winning Without Knowing It All - Samantha Roberts Samantha Roberts Batchelor Manning is a data and technology leader with a passion for helping organisations make better decisions through modern data platforms and practical innovation. With experience spanning data strategy, engineering and analytics, she enjoys turning complex technical challenges into clear, actionable solutions. At our Oxford Data Meetup, Samantha will be sharing her talk, "Outsmarting the Data Stack: Winning Without Knowing It All," exploring how teams can deliver real value without needing to master every new tool or technology. Talk 2: - Here Be Dragons: The Joys and Gotchas of Geospatial Data' - Chris Sharpe Chris Sharpe is an architect-turned-technologist and founder of CityCAD Technologies and Charlbury Technology, and has spent 20 years building software at the intersection of geospatial data, PropTech and urban planning. He led the development of CityCAD, the world's first conceptual urban design and masterplanning tool, launched in 2008. More recently he has worked in product management on various tools, including the Placecheck app for urban planners, and Streetscape Studio, a conceptual design tool for highways designers. Following the talks, there will be an overview of the latest news in Data by Shaked and then we will all follow on to a local pub for continued conversations - all welcome.
