Explore practical data science and AI with Nottingham’s local community at this in-person evening of learning, conversation, pizza and professional networking. ## What to expect The Nottingham DS&AI Meetup takes place on **Thursday 3 September 2026, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm BST**, at the Newton Building, Nottingham Trent University’s City Campus in [Nottingham](https://www.createwith.com/cities/nottingham). Hosted by Ben W. and four co-organisers, the meetup combines a speaker session or workshop with plenty of time to meet others working in,or curious about,data science, artificial intelligence and related technology. The evening runs to the following schedule: - **6:00pm:** Doors open - **6:15pm:** Talk begins - **8:30pm:** Event closes This month’s talk is still **to be announced**, so check the event page nearer the date for the confirmed speaker, subject and room. Although the meetup is normally held in the Newton Building, the organisers note that the specific room may change. ## Talks, pizza and networking This is an in-person community meetup rather than a formal conference. A talk or workshop forms the centre of the evening, followed by socialising and networking, with the group usually continuing conversations at a nearby pub afterwards. Pizza is included courtesy of [Rebel Recruiters](https://www.rebelrecruiters.co.uk/), but attendees should bring their own drink. The format makes the event relevant to people interested in AI and data science who want to hear from practitioners, exchange ideas and build connections within Nottingham’s technology community.
