MFT Ethics and AI Clinical Documentation Tools As AI-assisted documentation tools rapidly enter mental health settings, many MFTs face uncertainty around how to ethically and legally implement these technologies. This presentation addresses that critical gap by focusing on how to use AI-generated clinical notes in alignment with the AAMFT Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations. Participants will better understand the risks around client consent, data privacy, and documentation integrity, especially as AI platforms vary widely in how they store, use, and secure client data.
