MCP, AI & Workflows: The Softr x Make Hackathon

Build a working AI-powered business app in one afternoon at this hands-on Softr x Make hackathon, taking place at Impact Hub Berlin on 14 September 2026. A side event of Berlin AI Day, this practical no-code hackathon explores how **AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) and workflow automation** can work together to turn an idea into a functioning end-to-end product. You can arrive with a specific business problem or use the session to discover what is possible when an app builder and an automation platform are combined. [Softr](https://www.createwith.com/tool/softr) provides the interface, enabling participants to create portals, internal tools, dashboards and other business apps without writing backend code. Together, the platforms give teams both the engine and the front end needed to ship something tangible. ## What to expect The afternoon combines short platform introductions with focused building time, live support and project presentations. Sonia from Make and Francisco from Softr will host, while members of both teams will be on the floor to help participants connect the pieces, solve problems and develop their projects further. You could work on: - AI workflows powered by MCP - Automations that move data and trigger actions - Customer or team portals - Internal tools and operational dashboards - Complete no-code business apps built on top of automated workflows The published schedule begins with doors and registration at **13:00**, followed by introductions to Softr and Make. Participants then move into two building sessions separated by a coffee break. From **16:30**, teams present their work and winners are selected, before final remarks, pizza and drinks.
