Lisbon AI Week 2026

The session “How AI Will Impact Media, Journalism, and Democracies” aims to address the evolution of content production and distribution models, the potential of Artificial Intelligence as a support tool for journalists, as well as the new challenges associated with fact-checking, misinformation, and the need to ensure accuracy and responsibility in the use of these technologies. With the participation of leading representatives from the national media landscape, the debate seeks to foster an informed discussion on the future of journalism and the transformation of the relationship between the media and citizens. The goal is to contribute to a greater understanding of the effects of these tools on public trust and the functioning of democracies, in order to promote a balanced approach between technological innovation and journalistic ethics.
