LEAD TECH 2026

The technological debate that connects university leaders with the future of innovation. What happens when five universities come together to discuss some of the most important technological dilemmas of our time? LEAD TECH 2026 is an inter-university meeting organized by LEAD UTP that will bring together young university leaders in a debate, critical thinking, technology, and networking experience. During five rounds, participating delegations will face topics that are already transforming our society: artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, sustainability, automation, digital health, and technological ethics. The event will utilize the Debate 3.0 format: Rotating Interpellation: in each round, two universities will defend opposing positions while others participate through strategic interpellations. Teams will have to argue, refute, respond under pressure, and support their positions with evidence in front of a panel of judges. Among the topics we will put on the table are brain chips and cognitive advantage, the impact of AI data centers on energy and water resources, digital resurrection through AI (Grief Tech), automation through humanoid robots, and the use of predictive AI versus medical judgment. More than just a competition, we seek to create a space where students, university communities, professionals, and people interested in technology can question, connect, and build new perspectives on the future.
