It is prepared as a place for people who create and use open-source AI to come together and share their experiences and learnings. In this meetup, we will go beyond simple technical introductions to discuss why we do open-source, why we share what we've created, and how we can grow together in the process. We aim to gather stories from speakers who have built real experiences both inside and outside the Hugging Face ecosystem, covering topics such as morphological analyzers, Korean open-source language models, domain-specific AI, research communities, model development, and commercialization, and to provide time for participants to share their work and concerns with each other. We will share the technical challenges, collaboration methods, and ecological significance of making and disseminating a Korean model as open-source. Park Chan-seong / Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute Accelerating domain-specific AI research through open-source We will examine through examples what role open-source can play in domain-specific AI research. We will share how research speed, reproducibility, collaboration, and community contributions are connected to the development of domain AI. Lee Min-cheol / Kakao How a morphological analyzer survives in the LLM era: Development of the open-source Korean morphological analyzer Kiwi Even in the era of LLMs, we will discuss why a morphological analyzer is still necessary based on the development experience of the open-source Korean morphological analyzer Kiwi. We will share insights gained from the continuous development and maintenance of the open-source project.
