"Is AI really changing our daily lives?" Meetup Overview While there are various contents and discussions about AI, we often ponder where the AI that can truly change our lives is located. In most cases, people only mention using tools like ChatGPT or Claude, without exploring something deeper. AI is an innovative technology, but its significance will ultimately be realized when it exists in our lives. Just like the Worldwide Web and smartphones have done. However, having AI change our lives in everyday scenarios is more challenging than we might think, and perhaps the AI products that achieve this will soon become the dominant designs, like smartphones, in our daily lives. This HCI Companion Day #7 serves as a public demo day and seminar launched in 2026, where talents nurtured through learning and projects in the HCI field present their results regarding AI UX in a demo day format. In particular, this demo day focuses on AI companions that we might encounter in our daily lives, explaining four projects that ponder everyday AI companions aimed at solving life’s problems and sharing insights necessary for human-centered user experience design in creating AI products.
