Hardware Night | Dublin AI Week

Turn a WhatsApp message into a blinking light, a moving motor or a gadget with opinions. You'll join a team of four, assigned at the door, and get a hardware kit and a blank board. Over the first hour you'll bring that board to life yourselves: flash it, set up your own Lua AI agent, link your WhatsApp, and send the first command. From there you teach the gadget new tricks in software, and the AI works out how to use them from plain messages. Then it's an open build. A physical weather display. A temperature gauge with a personality. A reaction game that trash-talks you. Something nobody else in the room expected. No hardware experience needed. Every step is on the event page, there's starter code, and there's support throughout the build. If you use Claude Code or Codex, bring it. It'll do the typing while you do the wiring. The evening ends with a two-minute demo from every team.
