Global Tech Hackathon Paris 2026 at EMCIS

Build and pitch a working AI, cybersecurity or dual-use prototype at this free 48-hour hackathon in Paris, running 27–28 August 2026 alongside EMCIS. The Global Tech Hackathon brings individuals and small teams to YNOV Campus in [Paris](https://www.createwith.com/cities/paris) for two days of focused development, expert input and competitive demos. Held alongside the 23rd [EMCIS Conference](https://2026.emcis.eu/), it gives builders the chance to test their skills under real time pressure while meeting mentors, sponsors and fellow technologists. ## Choose your challenge Three on-site tracks run simultaneously, each with its own mentors, judging panel and dedicated prize pool: - **AI, Automation & Agent Orchestration:** Design and prototype systems for autonomous decision-making, agent coordination and workflow integration, with an emphasis on rigorous design and real-world applicability. - **Cybersecurity:** Build automated defences, threat-detection tools, incident-response systems, secure architectures or resilience solutions grounded in practical deployment constraints. - **Defence & Dual Use Technology:** Develop functional technology with both civilian and defence value across security, resilience, AI, robotics and advanced systems. There is also a **worldwide Online Cyber Game** for participants who cannot travel. Players can qualify remotely, with the top 10 progressing to a one-hour live final on 28 August. No Paris ticket is required for this online challenge, which has its own leaderboard and prize pool. ## From kickoff to final pitch Day one begins at 09:00 with registration, badge collection and team formation for solo attendees. An opening ceremony covers the themes, rules and judging criteria before hacking starts at 11:00. Mentors remain available during the build, while lunch and dinner create additional opportunities to meet sponsors and other participants. An evening workshop offers a technical deep dive into **AI agent architecture**. On day two, teams make their final push before the 12:00 code freeze. Demo presentations begin at 14:00, with each team receiving five minutes to pitch and two minutes for judges’ questions.
