Fitzwilliam AI Circle: Agents Reading Group

A prepared, invite-only AI agents reading group in Dublin, focused on agent reasoning, tool use and failure modes. Taking place on Saturday 3 October 2026, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm GMT+1, this Fitzwilliam AI Circle session offers builders and technically minded practitioners a chance to examine how AI agents work, and challenge the ideas behind them. It forms part of Dublin AI Week, a city-wide programme of practical sessions, research conversations, demos, build days and creative events running from 2–9 October. What the group will examine The discussion draws on the free Hugging Face AI Agents Course. Its material covers agent fundamentals, tools, actions and observations, alongside frameworks including smolagents, LlamaIndex and LangGraph. Participants should expect: A close, critical discussion of the assigned course material Questions about how agents reason, interact with tools and fail Space to test assumptions, surface disagreements and compare interpretations Ideas that may be carried into the Fitzwilliam AI Circle technical lab on 5 October This is not a general AI meetup or an introductory presentation. The format depends on preparation and active participation: attendees are asked to review the material before applying, then arrive with one idea, question or disagreement they want the room to examine. It is best suited to curious builders and technical practitioners who are ready to engage seriously with AI agent concepts and frameworks. A discussion-led technical community The Fitzwilliam AI Circle is an ARIA-supported informal technical peer group convened by Sam Enright and Neil Shevlin.
