Experiments with AI: Build in 3D
Description
This week, we’re experimenting with 3D libraries like Three.js to build games, simulations, visualisations, generative art, educational experiences, or anything else you want to explore. Three.js lets you create interactive 3D experiences that run directly in a web browser. Browse the Three.js website to explore its examples and see the range of possibilities. A few projects for inspiration: These are inspiration. Borrow one small idea or interaction and make your own project. This is a build jam. You can use Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, AI Studio, or any tool you prefer. No prior Three.js experience is required; curiosity and basic comfort with AI tools are enough. The challenge: build a tiny working prototype in 2–3 hours. Keep the scope intentionally small: Possible ideas: a tiny game, an interactive data story, a biological model, or a product visualiser. Bring your laptop and either a rough idea or the willingness to discover one while building. We’ll finish by demoing what everyone made, even if it’s strange, incomplete, or delightfully broken. Note: No charge for the event, but its mandatory to order food or a drink to support the venue. Organised by AI Study Group: 1 yr | 45+ Meetups | 950+ Members
