The Deep Learning School "Basic Concepts" is set to take place from April 13 to April 17, 2026, at the picturesque Kloster Engelthal in Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany. This immersive event offers participants a unique opportunity to delve into the foundational principles of deep learning, a vital aspect of artificial intelligence that drives innovation across numerous sectors. Attendees will benefit from expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and collaborative discussions designed to enhance their understanding of key concepts and techniques in deep learning.
Highlights
Organized by ErUM-Data-Hub with support from DIG-UM. Aimed at deep-learning beginners from all ErUM communities with basic physics knowledge. Intensive classes on Neural Network Building Blocks, Mastering Model Building, Convolutional Neural Networks, and Transformers. Includes a hackathon/challenge led by Luca Di Bella & Felix Wersig from TU Dortmund. Features a session on Julia programming by Dr. Oliver Schulz from MPP MPG. Welcome dinner on Monday and a pub quiz on Thursday, both included in the participation fee. Visit to Boehringer Ingelheim scheduled for April 16, 2026.
