[Academic Day] The Mathematics Behind AI - An Evening with Leading Mathematicians

“Why is AI so intelligent?” The answer lies in mathematics. Welcome to an evening of conversation and enlightenment with leading mathematicians over drinks. Current Theme: The Mathematics Behind AI AI, including ChatGPT, has now become commonplace with deep learning. While we use it conveniently, the question “Why does it operate so intelligently?” remains partially unanswered, even by experts. The inner workings of AI are still a “black box.” This evening’s guest host, Junpei Nagase, is challenging the true nature of AI with the power of mathematics. He is a front-line mathematician attempting to unravel why neural networks “work” through mathematical equations. While there will be formulas, there’s no need to be nervous.
