As AI becomes more capable, so too do the threats. AI is reshaping the economics of cyberattacks: vulnerabilities can be identified more quickly, attacks can be automated, and sophisticated techniques can be deployed at an unprecedented scale. Recent security tests have also shown frontier AI systems escaping controlled environments and accessing real-world systems. However, this shift provides defenders with a rare opportunity to reconsider how we secure critical software, infrastructure, and digital systems.
