Community Call - Talent, Knowledge, and Skills

AIC4NL’s online Community Call on 10 September 2026 explores responsible AI in public services and health equity through two expert-led talks. ## AI that works for everyone Running from 9:00am to 9:45am, this focused community session examines how artificial intelligence can contribute to society when it is designed and deployed responsibly. Organised by AIC4NL’s Talent, Knowledge, and Skills working group, the call brings practical implementation experience together with a critical discussion of AI’s social impact. Two speakers will approach responsible AI from complementary perspectives: - Aoibhinn Reddington, CTO and Founder of Customized Solutions at Scale at NextHuman, will discuss AI in the implementation of the Participation Act. The talk offers insight into how customised solutions can be delivered at scale while accounting for the realities and responsibilities of applying AI within a socially important area. - Nikki van de Veerdonk, Strategic Advisor and Project Manager for Digital Innovations at Pharos, will explore the opportunities and risks AI creates for health equity. This contribution will consider how digital innovation can affect equality in health,and why potential benefits need to be assessed alongside possible harms. ## Who should attend? The call is exclusively for AIC4NL participants. It will be particularly relevant to professionals working on responsible AI, digital innovation, public-service delivery, workforce skills, social participation, healthcare or inclusion. It also offers useful context for decision-makers and practitioners who need to understand not only what AI can do, but whom an AI-enabled service benefits and where new inequalities could emerge. No specific experience level is stated. The concise, online format makes this a useful opportunity for members to hear two specialist perspectives without committing to a full-day programme. Across 45 minutes, attendees can expect a concentrated look at real-world AI use, responsible implementation and the human consequences of technology choices.
