New technologies spur the creation of new activities at all levels of the economy: the web enabled the targeted-ads economy, mobile produced the app economy, social produced the creator economy. This workshop brings together researchers, investors, builders, and regulators to investigate the AI-enabled creation of the cognitive economy, shifting value to the cognitive currencies of attention, judgment, value, and motivation. By bridging diverse domains and sectors, it aims to produce a shared framework for protecting human reasoning as AI agents take on more economic work, focusing on the relationship between token distribution and worker cognition.
