A small working session for engineers, researchers, and technical founders in Berlin building AI systems. Bring your laptop and something you want to move forward. It can be code, a prototype, a research question, or an idea you are turning into a concrete plan.You'll find people already running startups, alongside engineers and researchers thinking about what to build next, or looking for technical collaborators. ​What Happens We do short intros at the start so people know who is working on what. After that, the room is open. Some people code quietly. Some talk through technical or product questions tied to what they are building. Others sit with a few people and figure out whether an idea is worth building. The best version of the room is quiet in patches, chatty in patches, and useful without anyone needing to perform. No talks, no panel, no forced pitching. And yes, there will be coffee. ​Who It Is For ​Probably Not For This is not a general networking event. Please skip it if you are mainly coming to meet talent, recruit, sell, scout the ecosystem, or pitch an idea in the hope that someone else will build it. ​About your hosts In the heart of Berlin, the Merantix AI Campus is home to 80+ AI teams and hosts 300+ events a year. Part of Merantix, driving Europe’s AI future since 2016, the Campus is where the brightest and most ambitious founders, operators, engineers, industry leaders, and investors come together to shape next-generation AI infrastructure and applications across industries. The Hacker Room is a 4-month residency at the AI Campus bringing together AI engineers pushing past the APIs - leveraging the Merantix ecosystem to develop & research in a collaborative environment beyond the boundaries of academia or KPIs.
