Building AI First Teams

Software engineering is being rebuilt in real time. The teams that thrive in this next era won't be the ones with the cleverest prompts. They'll be the ones that learn the new disciplines together while these practices are still taking shape: Spec-Driven Development, Context Engineering and optimization, AI harnesses, and loop engineering. No one has all the answers yet, and that's the point. This is an open invitation to figure it out as a community: come with what you know, leave with more, and help shape solutions everyone can build on. Most teams bolt AI onto a process that never changed. Someone opens a coding assistant, the rest of the workflow stays the same, and the gains stop at code completion. Spec-Driven Development starts somewhere else: you get the intent and the spec right first, and AI plans and builds against it. The spec becomes the shared source of truth, so the whole team moves faster, not just the person typing. We'll show real setups running in real workspaces, then hand the floor to the room. What we’ll get into The day is hands-on, and the exact demos will firm up as we get closer. Expect to dig into things like: •    Turning a team’s existing knowledge (codebase plus internal docs) into something anyone can query — so you can “ask your engineer” and automate parts of the SDLC. •    Getting intent intake right: pulling out what you actually want built before a line of code is written. •    Watching something get built end to end, live. •    A look inside a real working setup, start to finish. Show and tell Short slots for orgs and individuals to walk through what you’re building. Bring a real problem, a half-finished thing, or an idea you want stress-tested. The goal is simple: share ideas, challenge each other’s ideas, and figure out what’s worth building next. Who should come Engineers, tech leads, product folks, and founders shipping software with AI who want to move past ad-hoc prompting. You don’t need to be an expert.
