Description

This is a hands-on workshop. Here's how to make the most of the session: What we heard in June On June 2 we sold out the AI for Women Conference in Durham and ran a waitlist. At the end of the day we put up a wall of sticky notes and asked everyone what they wanted next. Two answers came back over and over: make it more hands on, and make it specific to me. This live-in person is the direct answer to both PLUS structured in-person networking. What you will leave with Who this is for Women and nonbinary leaders, and anyone who wants to build their first AI agent in a way that is authentic to how they work, responsible, and repeatable. Two thirds of the women in our June room were already using AI weekly and still felt like they were guessing. This is especially good for you if you are leading a team on how to use the AI tools you are already paying for, if you are a founder doing the work of five people, or if you keep hearing about AI agents and are not sure where they would fit in your actual work. Your instructors Abigail Merrill is the Founder and CEO of GrowthUP Partners, a woman owned AI consultancy in Durham, North Carolina. She is a certified AI practitioner with more than 15 years at the intersection of AI and business growth, she built the AI Personality Assessment along with certified change management consultant and author of the Human centric Leader, Rachel Anderson, and she has produced the AI for Women events in the Triangle since 2025. She has spoken at All Things Open, Duke Fuqua, SheInvolved, AI for Women, and AI Ignite. Her through line is human first and AI set up for ROI and offers AI team workshops and fractional AI advisory. Erica Anderson Rooney is a leadership expert, AI educator, and Chief People Officer with over 15 years shaping workplace culture and advancing women into power. Known for bridging tech and trust, she helps people see that AI is not neutral. It is trained, and what we build today decides who gets opportunity tomorrow. She is the author of The AI Gap: Women, AI, and the Next Great Leap Forward (released June 1) and Glass Ceilings and Sticky Floors, a book endorsed by Mel Robbins and SUCCESS Magazine. Erica hosts Glass Ceilings and Sticky Floors and co-hosts AI Voice or Victim. She founded HER Collective, a fast-growing community for ambitious women who are looking to accelerate their climb up the corporate ladder without burning out. She has been trusted by CBS News, Forbes, Gallagher, CHIEF, Butterball, and many others. Her mission is clear: to advance more women into positions of power and keep them there.
