Build Your First AI Agent

You do not need to know how to code. You do not need to be "a tech person." You need one task you are tired of doing the same way every week, and two hours on a Saturday night. Build Your First AI Agent is a live, hands-on workshop delivered online through the Taylormade Academy player. Nelson Taylor builds on screen, step by step, and you build along on your own laptop. By 9 PM you have an AI agent you made yourself, doing a real job for your business, your work, or your craft. Not a demo you watched. Yours, still working the next morning. If you have ever trained a new hire, you already know how to do this. The most common thing people tell me before they start is "I think I'm too old to learn this." Where it comes from: Nelson facilitated this workshop for the Atlanta University Center Data Science Initiative with Johns Hopkins in June 2026. About fifty students, most starting from zero, built agents and pitched them by the third night. This is that workshop, compressed to one night and opened to everyone. What you need • A laptop or desktop with a browser (phones are fine for watching, not for building) • A free Claude account (recommended) or a free ChatGPT account, set up before 7 PM • One task you want handled, and a few real examples of it (past emails, an FAQ, a price list) About the tools: everything we do on the night runs on free accounts. If you want to use your agent every day afterward, that may take one subscription of about $20 a month on the platform you choose. I tell you that now so there are no surprises later. How to join: this is an online event. Your ticket email has the link to the Taylormade Academy live room. Sign in with a free Academy account and the room opens at 6:45 PM CT on the night. It is one-way video with a live chat, so you can ask questions the whole way through. Build With Me (In Person) tickets put you in the room with Nelson at his private Dallas studio instead of online.
