BrumAI September 2026 - hosted by Accenture

Explore how GenAI systems can deliver better answers beyond the chat window at BrumAI’s in-person Birmingham meetup on 23 September 2026. Hosted by Accenture at Cornerblock – Bruntwood SciTech, this two-hour evening brings together the Midlands’ AI community for focused talks, audience discussion and networking. The event runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm BST at Cornerblock, 2 Cornwall Street, Birmingham B3 2DX. GenAI beyond chat The centrepiece is “GenAI Beyond Chat – Making LLMs Make Sense”, presented by Martin O’Hanlon from Neo4j. Martin will examine what it takes to improve the responses of generative AI systems once you move beyond the familiar chat window. An experienced computer science educator and open-source developer, he creates educational content for Neo4j and helps developers use graph technology to understand their data. The evening also features an opening lightning talk from Shawon Sheikh, a Full Stack Engineering Analyst at Accenture with interests in AI, generative AI and emerging technologies. After the talks, BrumAI co-organiser Dr Anandhi Vivek Dhukaram will facilitate a discussion with the audience. Anandhi brings more than 20 years of experience across research, technology and global business, with a focus on human-centric responsible AI, AI literacy and EU AI Act compliance.
