Description
The Apply AI Summit brings 900 AI leaders to Brussels on 17 November 2026 to accelerate trustworthy AI adoption across Europe’s strategic industries. Organised by the [European Commission](https://commission.europa.eu/index_en), this hybrid summit marks one year since the adoption of the [Apply AI Strategy](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/apply-ai) and concludes the first [European AI Innovation Month](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/european-ai-innovation-month). It runs from **08:30 to 19:30 at [the EGG Brussels](https://theeggbrussels.com/)**, with selected content also available through a virtual conference platform. The programme focuses on how trustworthy, human-centric and innovative AI can strengthen European competitiveness and deliver measurable socioeconomic impact. Industrial representatives, policymakers and startups will examine concrete European use cases built around homegrown AI models and systems, while helping shape implementation of the EU’s Apply AI Strategy. ## What to expect The day combines strategic debate with practical examples and opportunities to connect. Its varied format includes: - Gateway sessions introducing and exploring the Apply AI Strategy - Insight Trail discussions covering cross-sector challenges and sector-specific adoption - Panels addressing Frontier AI, technological sovereignty and other strategic priorities - Hands-on exhibitions featuring AI innovation from across Europe - The first [Apply AI Startup Award](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/news/apply-ai-startup-award) - Coffee breaks, an exhibition lunch and an evening cocktail reception Four rounds of parallel sessions will cover **energy, public administration, cybersecurity, robotics, healthcare, climate, workforce, agrifood, media, safety, mobility, electronic communications, manufacturing and defence**. Further discussions will examine the relationship between the AI Act and innovation, alongside the practical implications of Frontier AI. Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, is scheduled to participate.
