About Rob: Rob Miles has been making AI safety and alignment videos since 2014, first on Computerphile and then on his own channel, Robert Miles AI Safety. He has a bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, and was partway through a PhD when in 2011 he decided to drop out to focus on AI safety communication full time. He also collaborates with research organizations to help them communicate their work, and started the AI Safety Talks channel and AISafety.info. His videos have reached millions of viewers and helped shape how a generation thinks about AI risk.
