This short session cuts through the hype to show what AI actually looks like in development practice. Drawing on real examples from health, agriculture, humanitarian response, and public services, Kasser Haider will help us explore where AI can add value and where it cannot.Participants will consider practical questions: Is the data good enough? Who owns and maintains the system? Does it work offline, in local languages, and within existing workflows? What are the ethical and sustainability risks? No technical background is required.
