Your Host I’m James Marshall, a Brisbane-based business and technology executive with more than 20 years’ experience across emerging technology, government, education and the creative industries. I’ve worked as a Business Development Manager with the South Australian Govt's Department for Trade and Investment High Tech team, including work with the Australian Institute for Machine Learning and technology pilots involving organisations such as Westpac and MIT. I also led government programs supporting the games, animation and VFX industries. Before that, I was Head of Learning & Development for Technicolor Australia, where I established and led Technicolor Academy Australia and built training pathways for a rapidly growing technology and VFX workforce. I’ve also served on advisory boards for the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, and as a Non-Executive Director of the Mercury Center for Excellence. These days I use AI extensively across research, planning, business development and for daily life. This session is not about turning you into an AI expert. It’s about showing you practical ways to make the technology genuinely useful.
