Description

Start with a real business workflow, not another AI tool. For small businesses, the challenge is often finding the time to work out where AI is actually useful. This practical session helps WA business owners and operators identify one low-risk, high-value workflow where AI may save time, improve consistency, or reduce repetitive work. You will work through practical examples, assess your own workflow, and build a simple plan for testing AI in a way that fits your business. Who this is for This session is designed for: • Micro business owners • Small and medium business owners • Sole traders and operators • Business managers and team leaders • WA SMEs exploring practical AI use No previous AI experience is required. What we will do together • Identify a useful workflow: Look at repetitive or time-consuming tasks and identify where AI could provide practical value. • Assess the opportunity: Consider value, effort, risk, and whether the workflow is suitable for AI support. • Explore practical AI approaches: Work through examples relevant to common SME tasks and see how different approaches can fit different needs. • Apply responsible AI checks: Consider data privacy, accuracy, human review, and other practical safeguards before using AI. • Build your workflow plan: Turn one selected opportunity into a practical 30-day action plan you can test in your business. What you will take home • A practical SME Workflow Plan • A Responsible AI Integration Checklist • A 30-Day Action Checklist • A clearer view of where AI could fit into your business • A next-step pathway through relevant WA AI Hub programmes Good to know Please bring your laptop for the practical activities. You may bring a general example of a workflow or business challenge you would like to explore, but do not use confidential, personal, or commercially sensitive information. No technical background or previous AI experience is required. This is a practical professional development session focused on helping WA SMEs identify and test realistic AI opportunities. ========================================== Refund and Cancellation Policy Cancellation Windows • 14+ days before: Full transfer to another session or course credit (less platform fees).
