AI for Me: Everyday AI Integration
Description
From your phone and online shopping to banking, search, and everyday services, AI is already working in the background. You do not need to be a technology expert to understand how it affects you or learn how to use it confidently. AI for Me is a practical 90-minute community session designed to make everyday AI easier to understand. You will explore where AI appears in daily life, practise asking clearer questions, and learn simple ways to spot scams, protect your privacy, and check information before trusting or sharing it. Who this is for This session is designed for: • Seniors and older community members • Students • Jobseekers • Community members in and around the City of Canning No previous AI experience is required. What we will do together • Spot AI in everyday life: Identify where AI already appears in your phone, banking, shopping, search, and other common services. • Ask better questions: Practise turning simple ideas and vague questions into clearer requests to get more useful results. • Use what you already have: Try the activities on your own device or use the provided printed worksheets. • Stay safe online: Learn common warning signs of AI-assisted scams, suspicious messages, and misleading content. • Check before you trust: Use a simple fact-checking routine to assess information before acting on or sharing it. • Set your own boundaries: Consider what personal information you should protect when using AI-enabled services. What you will take home • An Everyday AI Starter Card • A practical Digital Safety Checklist • A Fact-Checking Worksheet • Simple strategies you can use and share at home Good to know This is a 90-minute community session, not a technical training course. No account, laptop, smartphone, or previous AI experience is required. You can participate using the printed worksheets provided, or bring your own device if you prefer.
