Hong Kong Youth AI Hackathon (Phase 2)
Description
Event Introduction An AI hackathon designed for youth aged 8–16. No experience required, just bring your curiosity and a laptop. Participants will see real AI robots, build a project from scratch under mentor guidance, and present it on stage. One weekend, one team, one creation. Whether they've never written a line of code or are already developing apps at home, this day is meant to turn "what if" into "I made this." Event Highlights Meet the robots. Start the morning with a live demo of an AI coffee robot and have a close encounter with an embodied intelligence robot, learning about the complete process of perception, decision-making, and execution. Hands-on project creation. After forming teams and selecting topics, participants have three hours of dedicated development time. Mentors will be present to assist with debugging, iteration, and delivery. Stage presentations. Each team will have 5 minutes to present + Q&A from judges. Evaluation criteria include creativity, completeness, technical difficulty, and presentation skills. Project teams will receive certificates.
