The event is part of the Safe-Agri initiative aimed at developing a practical tool for assessing and managing innovations in the agri-food sector through the ORRI framework (Responsible Research and Innovation), and is organized in collaboration with UPL Bulgaria and TraceGround. During the event, we will explore: The program includes brief expert presentations followed by a practical workshop. Part 1: Speakers Eleonora Markova UPL Corp: Innovations in agro resources and responsible biotechnology solutions Dilyana Kutsarova: Development of innovations and biotechnology in agriculture Traceground: Traceability and farm management systems TRACEGROUND is a decentralized smart system for tracking the origin and quality of food from planting to the table. The innovative platform works through a QR code that carries complete information on the origin of the seeds, growing conditions, precise farm location, transport, and method of delivery and storage at the specific supermarket from which the end consumer obtains the product. The product is aimed at both end consumers of food and the entire business within the food chain. Part 2: Workshop Participants will work on three scenarios for 2050 related to the introduction of new biotechnologies and innovations in the supply chain, strategic dependence on seeds and genetic resources, biosafety management in the supply chain, and building a responsible innovation ecosystem in the field of agro-biotechnology. Together we will identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations for the responsible management of future innovations in agro resources.
