Your Database, Everywhere By: Andrii Your app runs at the edge, but your database still lives in one place. Every request that touches Postgres makes the trip back, pushing you toward caches, session stores, connection poolers, and increasingly complex distributed systems. What if instead every user had their own SQLite database, running alongside your edge compute? Reads become local operations, writes are naturally serialized, and your application’s data can live wherever your users are. We’ll build this architecture live: authentication, RPC, a streaming AI agent, and global deployment from a single TypeScript file. Then we’ll break it. We’ll explore the tradeoffs of user-owned databases, cross-user queries, migrations. Code, real numbers, and a repo you can fork. Note: this will be a technical deep dive.
